Heroes of Newerth

A New dota called Heroes of Newerth is in the beta stages at the moment and looks insanely awesome. Its got a new engine so the gameplay will be much easier and they can do stuff with it that they cant do on the warcraft engine.. Down to the point.. They giving away free beta keys if you become a fan of their page on facebook, they need to reach 30,000 fans in order to start giving them away and atm they are on 26,381 fans so HURRY THE HELL UP SO I CAN PLAY THE BETA WITH PEEPS. HoN is awesome! Its a bit unbalanced atm since its still in beta but its much better than dota! The wc3 engine is crappy..

Balance > Graphics and shiny things

Game not to bad, some heroes a bit imba, Graphics is fricken wicked, nice item set up, now u can click recipe for item combos and it shows full price, then a break down of the items required, then simply click on item in same sidebar to buy...

Games crap, can't make up which dota version its copying, shiny graphics make my computer lag more than it should and balance is atrocious. I hate relearning everything when it makes even less sense than the original dota layout does...

However the good thing about it is nobody has any delay which is awesome

Oh god, reminds me of Happy Tree Friends... Should watch that if you want to learn about the inner workings of woodland critters...

game was good to play while the new dota was done.. you dont really need to learn new things genk, same heros and items just new names for ppl, and games last like 25 mins.. though new dota is out so back to that. i can host again now ^_^

well im back in palmy on sunday and my comp shall have internets again. I mean campeigns are fun and all but... yeh

Funny you mention that since I was playing that beastmaster campaign, which I have to say was pretty fun lol =D

o lol. Yeah im not meaning wcc3 camps, ive done all those a while back. Im sifting through the "few" games i got from digs. Ive installed and playing/played through cod4 and 5, man of war, defence grid, plants vs zombies , prototype (hes like spiderman without the web lol), oh and spiderman. the cod 4 and 5 camps were fun, i did the 5th one a little while back so i cant be sure, but the 4th one seemed to go pretty quick. I love the sniper level on each one tho, so kewl. The thing i liked about the cod4 camp is you felt more like you were in a squad, rather then just a dude in a big army. It was very "get outa the heli, kill stuff, get back to the heli" based.

I actually like HoN Better then dota now, even tho its still quite unbalanced and the pathing is terrible.

i tried Tony clancy's H.A.W.X last night. Its a "fly a jet and kill shit" game. Always a bit hard for me those ones lol. 3 more days of prac work, then i can actually have a game of dota again, and try out this HoN thing.

After more play of HoN with flat mates I've come to conclusion. HoN is a lot more noob friendly than Dota. There is still a sharp learning curve but things like item layout and GUI makes it a lot easier for beginning players. Balance in the game sucks, I'm concerned that the developers don't seem to know how to balance a game changing things like omni's skillset to give him pirate cleave or changing tide so he has charge as well as gush and aoe swap which has nuke damage. From a nice shiny sense the game is good, from a noob friendly sense its good, but in terms of balance and competitive sense its really quite bad. But lets wait and see cause it is only a beta version hopefully they'll be adding a lot more to it(SK came out last patch and they cloned over the recent phaseboots change. No fix to ags yet though =( which suck esp for clockwerk)
