Computer

So im home and all that, and im on my bros computer, which now has decided that it likes to restart after getting 2-3mins into a wc3 game. So i think i mite try re-install the game and hope that does something. My computer is at my mates place, and turns out the power supply mite be dead, but it may have also done some dmg to the motherboard cus the power supply is shit :S. So might be some $$

I had this problem before. I think its lack of RAM, cuz I had fiddled around with the ram sticks on my old pc, but didnt fully put it back in place so it was showing something like 500 RAM or w/e and everytime I got into a dota game, it would just die and restart itself. So maybe make sure the RAM sticks are fully in and secure.

k ill try. also more good news on the computer front, well maybe bad news...... its just news.

Im basically getting a new computer. Ill post specs when i actually know them, because my mates just making it in a price range. But im keeping my old case/hard-drive/dvd and getting a new everything else lol.

I think its going to be a 2.4ghz dual core pcu, 2bg ram (didnt think i needed 4gb or a quad core, cus $$$ and uneccesary lol), a new mobo, psu, and some video card that i forgot the name of thats around $260. kaCHING, o well. about a grand all up.

Im also gna sell my water cooling, video card and ram, should get a few hundred. which are all still fine.

You clearly aren't taking into account the fact that Starcraft II comes out at the end of the year with Diablo 3 also going to be released before the end of the year. So at this point in time hot specs would be good.

its actually gona have pretty decent specs. Im pretty sure it will run diablo III. Its gna be easily better then my mate jacks comp which runs CoD5 perfectly fine. But not quite up there with digbys which is just a 5grand mean machine.

just got back from mates place, he had bought all the stuff for my comp, and he just put it together. Ive come home 2 do some work, but hes gna install and test it etc.

He managed to get a athon 2.7Ghz dual core instead of 2.4 so yay, and got a kick ass power supply which is same as digbys (yay hopefully this can solve my recurrent power supply problems) which the guy he got stuff off had been using for 2 months for same price i was gna pay for a shit one. the g-card is the 8800GT. Ill try get full stuff later. Oh and 2gb ddr2 ram.

Geforce 8800Gt
mobo is ASUS M2N68 (its got like a little version of linux or something that u can startup in like 5sec and use net or something, but ive disabled it lol)
same old dvd drive (a mac one lol, my mate laughed cus it has a fan)
Same hard drive, and a free 40gb new one for OS (well old one but new to me )
Power supply my mate got a nice deal on and says "thermaltake, toughpower, 750W" on it (the one thing in my comp thats better than digbys lol - his is 650W)

I have to ask, what OS are you using though? If its vista = fun fail.

Duno if u askin me or digs, myne was 1k. and im using xp home. Digs was something K (over a year ago) and hes got vista ultimate. I wuda got more ram if i was getin vista.

lol, well if i cud have my time back id try do it before my comp died, cus now i cant really sell my power supply or mobo. I am sellin rest tho. (mobo might be ok anyway)

only went with vista cause no point having more than 3 gb ram with xp, as it only picks up 2.7gb. as for vista, it can go up to 16 gb
