Auto Hotkeys

I just got it today. All ive done so far is made q be numpad 8. So i can use q to blink etc. Gna test it out, ive been wanting to for ages. Programs fast to install etc.

If you wna copy me, just install, when it asks if u wna make a txt file in my docs, push yes. Then open the txt file, and delete all the stuff thats there and put this in.

+Q::Q
q::numpad8

Then save it, and either re open the program, or right click on the icon in taskbar and go "reload this script" then it should work. The +Q and q bit do need to be on separate lines (like shown in the quote).

Yea but for us humans this might be a good idea. I used to bind my thumb button to blink but then undid it because of some reason I can't quite remember at this point in time.

well you can make as many shortcuts as you want, i might end up making another one, you can use z i think (if you dont play sf, which i dont , then u just cant raze close range haha).

I mean you can click shit like BoT,shiva,necrobook, bottle (but wud be nice not 2 have to). But for shit like blink/guinsoo/dagon, it would be really nice not to have to, since its 2 clicks, midas is two, but thats not so major. But quick spam of dagon can be the diff between life and death if your NA, or same thing with a quick hex/blink to escape, or hex before you get stunned/hexed yourself.

does that mean those like my without a num[pad means we can reassign the numpad buttons?

well do you know what hotkey you can use for your items at the moment? Otherwise you can try dota-keys or is it warkeys? ill put some links up for them sometime, or if anyone uses alternate programs, be cool and do a link for them in a new thread please. Note - i tried to get dota-keys but my virus detector moaned about it lol. So was a no go

Well tbh, if you want to up your game with respect to items, you will have to end up using one of those programs, the reason I don't is due to its such a hassle when you play without said program (at netcafe, friend com, etc.) so meh

yeah but its just such a simple thing that can make your game improve so much i think. Like you just cant be clicking you blink manually at high levels, im sure none of the pros do. Surely.

so you actually move ur hand right to other side of keyboard to use ur numpad for blink etc? I rekon u should get it ss, or i rekon u should all try it.

yea it will help, wiki told me that he uses all of his skill on "qwer" so first skill is q, second w and so on..
idk what he uses but yea
if we only use what stankey is using, its kinder hard to fit all the things on keyboard coz we dnt know which hot key will be available b4 we pick
We normally use at least 2skills from item so..yea (phase/tp , blink/hex etc)
and yes i actually do use numpad with blink and shit but sometimes i just click,

From what your saying about this it seems like a real simple version of a program i've been using for quite some time.

I use a program called dota keys. This program takes a little getting used to but makes hotkeys/item hotkeys much easier. The default system is it sets q,w,e,r as the for primary skills and uses 1 as nothing. It then uses 2,3,4,5,6,7 for the item hotkeys. It uses d for hold and f for attack/deny. This means your left hand is easily placed around all the hotkeys you would need. This is all able to customize to what ever keys you want.

N.B. Im capped so surfing the internet is a bit of a bitch -.-. If this seems to have peoples interests I'll find the link and stuff when I do get cap back.

lol yeah, i tried to dl this 1 when u told me about, but my antivirus moaned about it bein something bad so i did nothing till loltron told me bout this 1. Yeh its simple but can be used for anything, such as "ctrl + alt + z" opens firefox or wateva.

Yeah I think the reason why anti-virus programs bitch about dotakeys is cause well they probobly think that rearanging the letters on a keyboard so they make no sense at all counts as a virus and can't see a reason why anyone would want something that would do this. I dunno might be a actual virus but meh hasn't done anything to my computer other than what I want it to.

when i ran that virus scan it also found that dota client (DC) and something else dota related was also "bad" in some way. Thout it was ironic that its 2 issues were dota things haha. Think other 1 cuda been garena, nt sure

This program is wicked, been real helpful for me (who doesn't have a numpad) for my blink lock build... so much fun midas-boots-hex-blink- refresh/shiva/orchid/necro - depends on how game is going.... ^_^
now to work out how to add more that one numpad key............
