Hi, my name is Ben. I'm 17 turning 18 this year (2008). I study a Bachelor Of Business at QUT in Brisbane. Born and raised in Brissy, I currently play beach volleyball but I used to play sports such as Basketball (5 years), Football(soccer)[5 years], Futsal(Indoor soccer)[3 years] and Cricket. I work at Coles (lol) getting a job at the Bank Of Queensland to help with my degree.

I've been playing DotA for about 3 years now on TFT and 1-2 on RoC (before TFT DotA). My sig is an old one that I made for Counter-Strike hence why it says MeRc instead of IAmRevolution.

Mint man, im a beach volleyball player too. Its awesome aye. I didnt get to play last year over the summer because of the farm prac work i had to do for my degree. But yeah i miss it lol. Some of my mates came over for the volley beach nationals in australia and did pretty well. You may have heard of the odea brothers if u went there, they arent as close friends but i played against them at school. Some of my other mates that went over didnt do as well as they did (arent such high profile) lol. But yeah, glad 2 see another volley player on here. I take it u played indoor 2?

I used to, haven't recently though. Just been playing a crappy tournament while at uni. 6-side beach volleyball with nets all around so you can rebound it. Waiting for September again so me and my mate can sign up for the GC comps.

Indoor is fun, if you have knee/elbow pads :p

Aye my name is Ben too. It's kinda funny to see how many athletes we have here. 2 beach ball players, which is a hardcore ass sport for dudes no jokes, some soccer players, a track/cross country star. Damn we're pretty laoded.

Welcome back! where you been?

Well to begin I'll give some reasons why I haven't been on so it will explain my hiatus.

The most obvious reason is uni as I'm in second year. The next reason is on top of beach volleyball I also started playing futsal again.

The girlfriend and I were getting pretty serious until we broke up a few months back, I then surrounded myself in friends and clubbing. It got to a point where i was drinking heavily 2-3 nights a week. Until one day I totalled my parents car, wrapped it around a tree.

So now i've had a crystalising moment in my life and feel i'm very lucky to be alive so I've quit drinking (see how long it lasts.. so far 8 days sober!). The reason for my comeback is because I have to pay back a lot of money to my parents for the car as I was uninsured to drive it. So DotA is a nice time-consuming and cost effective way to spend the time until I've paid my debt off!

Well regardless of the past events its good to have you back, though did remeber u came online and had a couple games with me jsut after the break up..

Nah it's all good. No one was hurt. A lot of things were lucky about it, cause there was a river behind the tree. I wasn't speeding, there was dirt and gravel on hte outside of the road which caused my car to lock up. Not to mention There was no lights for a few hundred metres on a 70km/h road! Plus the corner was (no joke) the tightest 90 degree corner.

I haven't played a game yet cause my internet is capped =p But i'll get on around 9th maybe sooner to see if I can play with a capped net.
